With your canvas material, what are you using to secure it to the aluminum? I like your idea of making it in kit form. That’s pretty handy for the diy er. I plan on a similar finished product but a different style build. I’m not sure about securing the fabric. Great work.

Yeah so there are a few ways I have tried to secure the fabric. The first was using really thin flat aluminum with bolts through the tslot to try and sandwich the canvas to the edge of the metal. That worked fairly well but you have to ensure that your entire canvas is sealed so the corned are a bit tricky. Next, I used self tapping screws and mounted the canvas to the top of the aluminum extrusion. This worked a bit better, so for my current build I am going to do a combination of mounting with some VHB, plus the self tapping screws. Once that actually happens I will post some pictures.
